As the title suggests, for this to be a functional forum space it is paramount that the community can share their true thoughts and feelings on things. With the recent backlash to flight blades being sold on the pledgestore thousands of users were forced to use emojis to represent their thoughts and feelings which CIG claims is the primary reason that the forums have been breaking. I have seen posts get deleted, reactions not go through, the webpage fail to load, etc. I think if we moved most of the reactions to a simple downvote it would help with the overloaded emoji responses since those seem to be causing a lot of issues for some reason. Being able to downvote responses in the thread as well would be really nice, if somebody says something that only 1% of the community agrees with their post remains upvoted when in reality that is not the case. A proper downvote system could make the website run better and would also improve the clarity of feedback and community sentiment so that everybody has a better experience within the community. Sorry if this has been requested before, it's bizarre that this isn't the case already, but I figure now is as good of a time as any to put this out there.
