Hopefully this is the right spot for this... I've recently started streaming using a dual PC setup, and to make controlling both PC's easier I have gone with a software solution: Input Director. For reasons unknown to me, Input Director adds two wireless gamepads to my device list (why they aren't generic HID devices is beyond me) and this causes havoc with my sticks in Star Citizen because the order of devices is all over the place... There is a utility called Devreorder that should allow me to designate what order SC sees my devices in, but of course it gets flagged by EAC and the game won't start. This is due to the custom dinput8.dll wrapper. Came across a Reddit thread from over 4 years ago that indicated CIG was looking into this to potentially whitelist because it has a larger impact than just my situation, and yet here we are 4 years later and we're still not allowed to tell Star Citizen what order we want our devices to be seen/detected. This causes issues even with just a simple HOTAS/HOSAS where sometimes those devices get flipped and we have to use a console command to flip the devices (which doesn't always work either!) Can we please get this utility whitelisted so anyone with more than just a mouse and keyboard can set up their inputs with less worry about whether a restart is going to completely bork their bindings? Thanks for coming to my DragonTalk.
