Here's my thoughts behind the logic for an Argo Pathfinder..... The MOLE is an excellent Mining ship. But, not a ship I would cruise around the surface of moons/Asteroids looking around for Minables on a whim. it's too thirty for that. So, why not have a smaller, 1 crew, more fuel efficient Scout craft. Since Argo has only 4 ships, I though I would come up with a cool concept for a single crew Pathfinder to compliment the MOLE. This ship is roughly 20m-22m long. 2 small pew pews on the front, scanner array on the top, 4 Rotating VTOLS, and a small space for 12 SCU. I modeled it to scale, so those Cargo boxes in the hold are 1m x 1m. I also put a few hand held mission/contract boxes on the ground to give these photos and video a sense of Scale. How do you get inside this ship ? The small 1 man elevator that is accessed by the Cargo Hold. If its going to compete with another ship, it would be the 315p. But, this Argo is stockier, holds a little more cargo, a little less weapons, 800-900 QT Fuel ish, its generally slower, and not built for luxury. I plan on modeling a basic interior soon. Also, when I learn how to actually color things, I will paint this bad boy up. I've included the concept drawings I did in a PDF program I use for work(I changed a few things as I went). If you look at the green lines, those are the interior spaces..... I figured I should share these as well. What do you think ? I flippin love the Argo design language, so this was a fun learning experience for me. [UPDATE # 1] Ok, so I decided I would give that idea a shot and move the entry point from the elevator in the Cargo bay to a side Ladder. I chose to put the Door/Ladder in the back of the Hull.... Not sure if the front VTOL is now a Hazard lol. I can always move it to the front behind the cockpit and move the front VTOL back a bit... but I really like this 'rule of cool' look for it. I added 2 lowering Cargo ramps... just cause.. Also, I moved the Cargo bay forward 1m, and balanced the rear VTOL. How the Entry works... 1: The Ladder's landing slides out 2: The bottom half of the ladder folds down. The hinge is in the middle of the complete Ladder. So, I think my exterior is done enough to get the idea of my Concept... so I shall move inside next.
