While I was playing Elite Dangerous, I developed an application called the NPC Vocalizer that would take real-time logging data, that Frontier would dump into a session log, and extract the text NPC messages. Then I could apply a pre-recorded MP3 version of the text and output it to the player. The program is basically a framework for reading any type of log data and playing a predetermined sound when triggered. I'm not sure how it could be applied in SC, since I'm sure the NPC pilots will be voiced (as they are now on a limited scale), but there are all kinds of events throughout the game that could probably be helped with sound cues. Has Cl ever talked about having a real-time event logging system in Star Citizen? I'm just curious, as now, I'm sorry I spent all that time working on the app for Elite Dangerous. I dropped the game (after 5 years) when Frontier said there would be no ship interiors. I just thought I may be able to apply it in SC somehow.
