Hey, me again. Argo again. So, I spent some time today thinking about what Argo could use in their line up of ships. A Cargo ship seemed like a standard choice based on their Industrial Lore. Here is the style I settled on after a few small changes and variations from my initial design I scribbled on paper this morning. Gotta love Lazy Saturdays :stuck_out_tongue: Its around 50m long, and would best rival the Hull B or C / Caterpillar. 350-450 SCU.... 1 Pilot, and no passengers (maybe 1 more crew, I dunno. Still thinking about that) -The Green outline is the exterior Cargo storage. Held outside of the ship, much like the Hull series. But, instead of extending out to the right, left, up, and down, like the Hulls..... these would be 4 static, separate rectangular shafts of Cargo running front to back (see side view). With space in between each Cargo shaft. A front view would best show this, but I havnt done one yet. So, I hope this makes sense. I made the choice for it to have a rigid body, and space for supports in between the 4 main Cargo shaft areas so that it could take off and land on planets/moons fully loaded without issues. -The rear engines would rotate down 45 degrees, like the MOLE's rear main engines rotate out to create a neat look. And, the 6 VTOL would be on a 360 mount (shown by the circles with the dotted lines... side view... representing the VTOLs themselves) -I wanted to add something unique. So there is a part of the ship (to the rear of the main fuselage section) that rotates up when it has Cargo, and stays flat/flush when its empty. (see the side view, its flipped up in my drawing) Also, it wouldnt shrink/extend like the fancy Hull series... Argo aint got no time fo dat. I put a guy to scale in the side view to get the rough size. Of course, these are the basic drawings I did up so that I can use them to do a 3D model. So, they're not overly overly detailed. Just the Top view and Side view for now.... What do you think ? I just really like Argo design. I’m addicted.
