Coming off the back of the 00 - Fremantle design and a lot of work in creating asset packs for the BA Heavy Industries brand in recent months, I present for your feedback and comments the new BAX -03 "Pine Gap" Class of specialist long range heavy fighters. As with many if not all BA designs the potential range of the craft is one of the first design pillars, the 03 is no exception to this rule touting extended fuel tanks, longer ranged sensors suits and a full crew cabin supporting it's 2 crew, this additional capacity comes at the sacrifice of scale as an increased hull size and storage capacity limitations reduce the weapon choices for the ship when compared again to many of it's similarly classed vessels however, The 03 still manages a slim cross section when on approach and abeam. It's Delta wing acting as an armored shield for it's weaker vectors while also providing lift in an atmosphere aided by retractable control surfaces. -Currently the concept loadout is- Weapons: 2 size 2 and 2 size 3, pilot controlled forward facing weapons. 2 size 4 weapons mounted on the top remote turret. 10 size 2 missiles 2 size 3 missiles 1 rearward facing point defense auto turret. 2 Swarm Torpedoes (the torpedo opens and launches a swarm of smaller size 1 missiles, designed to combat Vanduul swarm tactics). Components: 3 Small shield generators. 2 Medium fuel tanks. 1 Medium power plant. 1 Medium quantum fuel tank. 1 Small Military computer. 1 Medium Radar. Crew Cabin: 1 Bunk (2 Beds). 1 Shower/Toilet. 1 Kitchenette (Basically a Microwave). 1 Gun Rack. 2 Suit Lockers. Unique Features: 1 Medium fuel scoop. Reinforced upper hull (Delta Wing). No external facing cockpit/zero glass design. Folding wing tips for better carrier storage.
