i don't know if this is a good idea nor if this is the right place to post it, if it's the wrong place, please do guide me to the right one. but here it is: a new manifacturer, with a fresh series of ships with Reclaimer-like legs, but for every ship of that manifacturer + have them get a walking mode the main focus of those ships is going to be hauling, but with a ton of defenses. the manifacturer name i thought of: B Inc. as in, "Bagel Incorperated"... very unique, i know! B Inc cares a lot about making the people using the ships feel at home the moment they step into them, even if it's for the very first time. they also care a lot about the wellbeing of the people crewing their ships so they've always made sure to have as much storage for food and drinks within the kitchen for the crew to survive as long as they need. they also love occassionally making new, wierd paint schemes and fancy ones, as they completely painted a Mark 5 fully pink, with loads of various cannons and other ships painted on it in an anime style and gave the front of the Mark 5 an anime face as well. their insignia is the side of a knight helmet which always faces to the front of the ship no matter where it's put on the ships of the manifacturer will be named for their progress, so Mk. 1 - Mk. 10. Mark 1: a 25m long, 7,5m tall, 15m wide ship with 6 reclaimer-like landing legs also being the main VTol engines for it, it also having enough space for 1 crew with a bunkbed for 2 crew max and kitchen, it also can carry enough fuel to get from Micro Tech to Crusader in one jump and to fly almost halfway around Micro Tech in 1 full tank of hydrogen. it will have enough space in the back for up to 20 SCU of cargo, but it will be in an heavy armoured compartment which is specially made so the cargo will be hidden from scans too, allowing you to easily and safely do illegal commodity hauling without having to worry about getting arrested for it's modules i was thinking: 3 small powerplants, 2 small shields, 1 small cooler and 1 medium quantum drive. it'll also have a turret with quad size 3 cannons for self defense, but only on it's roof right behind the cockpit (somewhat of a model representation is added to this post) Mark 2: a medium sized ship, at 50m long, 14m tall and 30m wide, it looks almost like an exact copy, having 6 Reclaimer landing legs as well, but this one does feature a bottom mounted turret and both turrets have become remote turret for ease of use, instead of size 3's they've become size 4's. also the cargo hold can hold up to 80 SCU of cargo, the hold is no longer armoured and secured however so hauling illegal commodities will be a risk again if you do get scanned, the hold it also big enough to hold several vehicles too for it's modules i am thinking about: 2 medium sized power plants, 2 medium shields, 2 medium coolers and 1 large quantum drive. Mark 3: This one is a huge upgrade compared to the Mark 2, it features 8 reclaimer-like landing legs. standing at 75m long, 30m tall and 60m wide, it can hold a crew of 10 people, having 2 top mounted manned turrets, 2 bottom mounted turrets and 4 side mounted turrets with 2 on each side, all of the turrets able to mount quad size 5 weapons. the cargo hold is split into 2 sections, with each able to hold 100 SCU of cargo, though the roof of the added section can be opened to allow for an XS sized ship to land within it, like an 85X or Argo MPUV for example. also the Mark 3 will also house a Tier 1 medical bed. Mark 4: The Mark 4 is again going to be a huge upgrade, this time it's rear is much wide, much to look like a spider as it will have 8 big Reclaimer landing legs and 2 smaller landing legs for support of the rear. the entire ship stands at 80m long, 50m tall, with it's front section being 80m wide but the rear spanding out to 125m wide where it's a multi-level cargo storage which runs in a L shape around the bottom of the ship, to the rear. which allows for up to 4,5 thousand SCU storage, with there still being space in the bottom part for multiple ground vehicles and even some XS ships to land within it too, if the crew dares to do so it's roof turrets have been replaced with a massive platform, allowing for 2 large-sized ships to land on top of the Mark 4 parrallel and refuel and repair, within the very center of the platform is a small glass dome which has enough space for someone to stand within, and even has a small room underneath the platform for the player to live in as it contains a bed and a kitchen. there is 1 missile turret which holds quad size 6 missiles, placed on top of the cargo hold, which is attached to the very rear of the landing pads and serves as entrance from the landing pads into the ship. for defenses there's also: 8 side turrets holding quad size 6 weapons, with 4 on each side, 4 manned turrets with quad size 4 weapons and 1 manned bottom turret with quad size 7 cannons which has 2 smaller manned turrets attached to it's roof with quad size 4's. the ship can hold a crew of 20 people, with inside also having a entire passenger floor which can hold up to 20 extra passengers in each their own room and give a nice, luxurious holiday experience too. and has a medical floor with 4 Tier 1 medical beds, 4 tier 2 medical beds and 4 tier 3 medical beds for modules i was thinking about: 4 capital size power plants, 6 large shield generators (with 2 underneath the landing pads to give protection to the ships on it and 4 within the ship). 4 capital size coolers and 2 capital size quantum drives. Mark 5: this is going to be almost an exact copy, but at 200m long, 50m tall and 150m wide, it will also have a total of 12 large Reclaimer-like landing legs and can carry nearly 10 thousand SCU of cargo + an extra of 15 XS sized ships or vehicles big enough to fit such a landing pad within the very front at the belly. also a module could be added which can swap out the landing pad + part of the cargo storage for a manned turret with triple size 10 cannons, this will also make the entire cargo hold into an ammunition storage. meaning it will no longer be able to haul any cargo, but is purely built to destroy. this will also change out the luxury guest floor for a 2nd medical bay containing: 2 tier 1 medical beds, 1 tier 2 and 1 tier 3 medical bed this one will just barely fit within the biggest planetary hangars ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ in terms of paint schemes and external/internal looks, i did have the idea as well for having the ship's inside look "lived in" the longer people use it + that they can add/change/colour the interior however they want, like you can with the 300i but way more detailed this will be it for now, my post might end up too long if i continue on. i'm curious to what you all think about this idea! hopefully it's not too stupid also the picture below is somewhat of a representation of a Mk.1 ship from "B.Inc." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit, 19th of June 2022 i've made a slight redesign of the entire ship, it's build in blender before being moved to Unreal Engine for some slight texturing so i can at least show a bit of what kind of a desgin i had in mind. i apologize in advance for the poor quality and detail of the ship, nor having done an interior but i am not that good with Blender and i am still leaning Pictured above is the original design for the Mark 1 (i've actually made it like that as the StarShip42 has way better detailing then i could ever do without spending many months on it). Pictured Above is the new redesign, it looks a bit more reclaimer-esc, but as i said i do not have any skill whatsoever at the moment in Blender. also on the 1st picture, you can see the entrance door/ramp into the ship a bit vaguely in between the front and center landing-leg Here's a view of the front of the ship and how the glass of the cockpit was going to be. i've tried to make the glass actually become glass, but for some reason it changes the entire ship into glass and not the cockpit window itself, i want to have it stick out a bit more so the pilot will have a full 90 degree view in every direction with no struts visible. if you all do like Design 1, the Freight Train Mk.1 instead of the more.. i guess porcupine Mk.1, i'm happy to stick with that as well a
