This is an alternative to creating a real 1st person view camera, by tweaking the existing parameters for the camera in the 'entity outliner' window, right click camera and select 'open pinned inspector' to view the attributes. The default player figure seems to me on the fly, to be lower than 1.85m tall, maybe 1.65 m tall or something. Interestingly, the 'field of view' angle can be tweaked. Some values are array values apparently, like going from 0-89, with 89 probably being equal to 90 degrees. To edit the default camera values in the Lumberyard Editor, find 'camera' in the 'Entity outliner' window, and right click and select 'open pinned inspector'. A FOV value of 50 was set to try replicate human vision. The camera that is linked to the figure, will slide in front of the face when looking down, and the camera will slide behind the head when looking up. Make sure to not set some of the values to 0, to avoid seeing a black screen. If you load the "slices" level in the Lumberyard Editor on starting the editor, you can tweak the camera settings and move into the door opening seen in the image below, to get an idea how the camera behaves with these settings. Other tip for the editor: Press Alt + MMB to rotate viewport camera (not the figure in ctrl + g mode) around a point in the scene.
