Hello, I do not know if it is the right place for that kind of resource, but feel free to re-locate this post. Please find here under a map of Daymar: I do not know if it is allowed to give a download link, but a higher resolution version is available (it weights 150Mo). This map has multiple purposes: The main goal is to show the various biomes available for sightseeing or mining. A secondary goal is to help communities to organize events: some attention has been dedicated to the triangle used for the Daymar rally and it should prove accurate to plot your course. A third goal is, if you find yourself with a new player, to be able to plot a touristic tour quickly and easily for him/her: you will find all the caves and derelicts available for sightseeing. Finally, as an org, this map is intended to help provide a strategic overview of a region to help us plan for major engagement once it will become available. Regarding the technical part there a few takeaways to keep in mind while using it: Firstly, it is conceived to pair with the wonderful Navigation Tool supplied by Murphy Exploration Group (guys you are genius). Secondly, as a planar map it had some artefacts and you go upper in latitude: the Northern and Southern part of the map are widened to keep a planar shape: that means that distances on the horizontal axes are not accurate on the higher latitudes. To prevent that a top-down view of the North and South Poles are provided (OM 1 is above North Pole and OM 2 is above the South) Lastly, due to the deformations, some artistic license has been necessary to keep the general consistency that you will observe from orbit. So, you may find some regions not exactly shaped as you can see from ground level. Please feel free to propose some other locations to include on this map. If you are an organization with a particular requirement or project, let me know and we will see how we can help you. Lastly, if you see some potential in this map, be advised that this is the fourth map of a series: the 3 others maps are a not as refined as this one, but are already available for Imperium members: I am actually working on 3 others maps and our technical staff is trying to supply us with an automated procedure to speed up the process. So, if you want to participate to this mapping endeavor, feel free to check on our forums and see if you may enjoy this activity with us. https://forums.starcitizenbase.com/ I would also like to lower my hat to the prodigious guys of the Deep Space Crew from Murphy Exploration Group that already made an astonishing first series of maps plotting the different point of interest in angular coordinate. Best regards. Mac.
