As many of you remember from the old forums, I started on a redesign of the E-wing Starfighter from the Star Wars Expanded Universe to fit it into the post-TFA canon. I've been toying around with it again recently, so may as well post some progress. Ok, so it doesn't LOOK like much since the last iteration. The main thing that's changed is that I've eliminated all hard edges on the fuselage base and have everything beveled. I've also cleaned up the mesh a little on the forward hull. Lastly, I've closed off my old torpedo loading hatch for now, as A) I'm not entirely happy with the design, and B) I'm not even sure whether it will actually be worthwhile to model it. I can always cut it out again later. Anyway, one of the things I'm working on how is figuring out how to do the panel lines and markings, starting with the panels. I've drawn up a guide for how to run them, but the question is how to actually model them. I was looking at DECALmachine plugin for Blender to facilitate the process, but I'm not seeing any tutorials out there, and the support website for the software appears to be broken and won't load. Anyone ever use this?
