Hi Everyone, After over 7 years, I decided it was time to design the sequel to the X-38 Sundagger and here it is: the Sundagger LX-1! All comments welcome, upvote if you want this to become a mod. : ) A lot of work has gone into this one, as I iterated the inside and out. There's room for a space-toilet and bed in the back (nothing fancy but then it is a fighter). Those are just blocked out so not worth showing yet. Ideally I'd like to have it land, as per the third image, "coming in hot" like a Space X rocket as I think that is the coolest thing I have ever seen (even cooler than the Blackbird - those hair raising landings are wild!!) It could be tricky, maybe would need an autoland feature to achieve but it's more about watching it land and experiencing that current tech crossover to make it feel real. Speaking of tech, this is a Xi'An hybrid. The attitude jets are cutting edge Xi'An field emitters, so no flames/no entry points for shrapnel to damage the innards. The main "rocket" is also a hybrid engine, so it would sound like a cross between arcing electricity and a Raptor. Something to distinguish it from a reaction mass rocket, this is the future-Sundagger I'd always dreamed of as a sequel. Lastly, I also created an inbetween "runabout" Sundagger which I was planning to make as a model kit but have discovered it's quite pricey to get started (even for a 3D printable one, a reliable print/professionally constructed). I can't manage a kickstarter as I have a dayjob but if anyone has any ideas along these lines, let me know! : ) It has a unique design, something fresh between this and the original Sundagger.
