I'm just going to offer $3000 if CIG can offer us private servers we can run on our own hardware within the year. I'm so sick of PVP 'features' that this feels like the only thing I can do. The new quantum interdiction gameplay just caused me to ragequit after losing all my cargo, and frankly I just can't enjoy this game in it's current state so long as anyone at any time can destroy my ship because I'm not good at combat and don't have the free time in my life to get good. My one caveat is I want the same quests/contracts/NPCs available in the private server as are in the PU (A few updates behind on new content is fine, but I want -something- to play). I know some things have said they aren't going to be there, but I did pay you guys for a game and I feel I can't play the game because of other players. I want to buy the game in a way that other players can't screw up my fun, I don't particularly want to have to build the game myself. If I had that kind of free time, I'd just get good at combat. The way you have things set up right now, I'm not even comfortable buying ships since I'll just lose them as soon as insurance goes live. Even LTI ships have that nebulous deductible I can only assume will be insane for large ships. At least spending 3k on a private server means I get to keep what I've paid for, as does the rest of the community. It also means if I later buy an LTI ship, a troll can't take it from me without getting banned because it's my server. Btw, it's a rack server that used to belong to NASA and it's more than ready to run space simulations again, let's goooo!
