Hey Fellas Welcome to my WIP thread on the Golden Tabby. This is a leisure project I've been working on for over 4 years now. But let's stop chatting and turn to the important things: Spaceships. The Golden Tabby is a brawler type frigate that can do a lot of damage. The armament includes four size 9 torpedo tubes, two turrets with two size 7 railguns each, 5 forward and 4 rearward turrets with two size 5 railguns each and 15 point defense turrets with two 30mm gatlings each. The ship has four rotating vtol engines and a strong landing gear to land on large planets of up to 3g. Inside the Tabby there are four small and two large places for modular mission packages of 26x6x3m and 26x8x3m each. These can include medical facilities or evacuation shelters as well as equipment for electronic warfare in the form of more computing power for sensor data evaluation. Without these mission packages, the space can also be used as normal cargo space. In the stern of the ship is the hangar with space for up to four Gladius and two support ships. In addition, the whole superstructure is a detachable ship called Baby-Tabby. Current state of the project: The outside is around 80%-90% finished. Some area need more detailing and a lot of the spots where the inner and the outer model meet will get an update as soon as this part of the inside will be created. The inside is a bit a different story. The ship is massive with around 50 rooms in the main ship and another 20 in the Baby-Tabby. The corridor layout is mostly finished but I haven't finished one singel room yet. And even with that the project has already 32'000 Objects and 18 million polygons. I recently started to work on the torpedo room in the front of the ship and I hope to finially finish the first room. Below you will find a selection of the best pictures. please note that these were created during the design process and that some parts of them got an update during the time. last edit 21.07.2019 Please feel free to make some comments and suggestion!
