This is probably something that has been asked in the past, but has there ever been any indication that we will get some sort of API or realtime data export function to allow us to make our own HUDs. I'm not including the MFDs here as they are tied into the ship models too much to be feasible, but a HUD would be ideal given the current awfulness and probable future awfulness of the HUD moving forward - unless of course CIG get someone in who knows what makes for a good and functional HUD for a fighter or other combat ship. However, I'd still like the ability to mod my own HUDs. Is there currently any way to get the information needed out of SC in the meantime so I could use SimHub (or similar) to make a HUD? (I make HUDs and overlays for simracing already so know about that side of it) EDIT: since I made this post we have got an improved HUD, so credit to CIG for this. It's not perfect but is certainly a step in the right direction. It is very important that SC has a workable AND useful HUD by default, so I'm happy this has been addressed.
