BA Heavy Industries set out to create a rapid response warship who's targeted market would be the private sector and it's many Organizations. This relatively cheap, fast, yet sturdy ship was labeled the Light Horse class in recognition of an old military unit of cavalry. Though lightly armed and armored the Light Horse sports some of the largest engines in it's class. It's this agility that swiftly cemented the Light Horse as a favorite among private security organizations for hunting bombers or operating as an escort/fighter screen to the larger Alexander Destroyer or the Aegis Javelin or Shipping convoys of Hull ships. Another of the ships charms include the two multipurpose spaces able to be swapped out or reconfigured to suite roles as required, from Hangar to medical bay, need cargo space? no problem, Troop transport, Torpedo bay? we've got you covered with the Light Horse!
