I wanted to use “RSI Frigate Cepheus” as the title before RSI Perseus being flyable, but after seeing the new picture about Odin, I decide to change it. I'm a fan of World of Warships and War Thunder and have always been imagining about interior of a special vehicle since I was young, which make me be interested in tanks, battleships and spacecrafts and get some knowledges about these heavy machines. I believe that diversity is an important thing for ship design in SC universe, that is, not only broadsides, but also spinal mounts and super-firing turrets. Maybe some people know a game called Dreadnoughts, in which broadsides and spinal mounts exist. Actually, to some extent, we’ve already had some spinal-mounts-style ship in SC, such as Ares and Idris K or M. Not so “spinal” but I call them spinal for simple, ships in Legend of the Galactic Heroes are “so spinal” and so does the Tiburon and the Kingship. We also can imagine some ship carrying broadsides such as caterpillar. Broadsides are classic and we don’t have to be under rule of modern battle on sea so why not, right? However, super-firing style ships are few, Perseus may be one of them but it only has two turrets. Therefore, being driven by the love to battleships in WW II, I pieced together a battleship-style spacecraft. Before the Odin came out, I really thought that a battlecruiser might be just “this” in SC, which is similar to the CA Argus (I heard unclearly in that video, it looks like a modified Bengal) in Squadron 42. To be honest, I want to have one. Odin's bridge may be too big for me, but I think it's not bad for Star War fans? As I mentioned above, I’m a lover of battleship in WW II, so I set super-firing arrangement for the ship. I suggest that some designer can not only glean ideas, materials and elements from other sci-fi works, but also take a trip to Los Angeles, New Jersey or Hawaii, for visiting USS Iowa, New Jersey or Missouri. I’m not professional but I believe that it would be better for sci-fi war ship design in SC with a certain understanding on magazine, ammunition hoist, armor design and so on in real world. Here some information about “Cepheus”, some data may be out of date, just a draft in early years. I wanted a ship as huge as possible with landing gear, but now whatever. 900 m is also good. It’s not a bad idea that to amplify this “little” heavy frigate into a battlecruiser. The weapon size and others are just drafts, words below were written previously, I don’t want to change anything now so I just copy. If you say “no it’s terrible”, that would be OK.
