Hi ! I create this thread to introduce my concept ship : the AEGIS Conqueror, which is a "Projection and Command Vessel" First I will explain why I designed such a ship. After the release, I want to be a Redeemer pilot and do combat mission like troop transport, CAS,... either on a planet surface or in space. However there might be a "logistic" issue during huge engagement because the Redeemer (and some other dropship) can't operate from a capital ship. I mean, there are only the Javelin, which can carry only one Redeemer and the Pegasus/Bengal which can carry 2/3 and maybe a little more but they will be hard to obtain... That's why I designed the AEGIS Conqueror : "The AEGIS Conqueror is a capital ship designed to transport a small number of marines with a squadron of Redeemers (between 5 and 10 ships) for a long period. The Conqueror defend herself with a powerful STS turret, 32 ASA turrets for CQC, 16 ASA "flak" turrets for mid-range and long-range engagement and 16 "anti-capital-ship-size" torpedoes. The ship feature a very functionnal hospital with all the requiered equipement to handle a large variety of injuries, making of her a true field hospital ! This new generation aircraft carrier allow a proper operation of the Redeemers thanks to a fully equiped maintenance area, with a stock of spare parts and integrated repair tools. It can therefore operate at the confines of the known universe without having to return for several months. With her long range radar, and thanks to her brand new communication and battefield management system, the Conqueror can be the headquarter of the fleet either on surface or in space.
