So my son is beginning to play star citizen, and he'd like a HOTAS for Christmas. I know very little about this topic. I understand that many people believe that HOSAS is better than HOTAS? However my son has requested HOTAS, because he want's a proper throttle control. Is there any reason to try to steer him towards HOSAS vs HOTAS, or should I just go with his request? For both HOTAS and HOSAS, are there good "first stick" options? For multiple reasons a setup that requires little "setup and configuration" would be best, but I don't want to trade too much convenience for quality. I assume that there are good options with good defaults for Star Citizen? Any advice would be most welcome.
