I'm seeing a significant framerate drop when I use 32 gb of RAM. All RAM is running XMP 1866 dual channel. With 16gb, the lowest framerate that I see in Port Olisar is about 45fps when outdoors, or looking out through a window, but it gets up in the 70fps range pretty often. With 32 gb, it gets down to 32 fps with high around 50. The other difference is that the there are few stutters with 32gb, but fairly frequent stutters with 16gb. Example being running down the stairs after waking up. There are two stutters on the 16gb systems I've tried, no matter whether I am using a gtx 970 at 1080p or a Radeon VII at 1440p. On 32gb the stair run is smooth, but the framerate is lower. I'm guessing that Star Citizen is automatically loading up the RAM that is available, as much as it can. The extra load on 32gb is what i'm guessing is causing the slowdown. Any ideas on how to optimize this? Maybe If I pull out one of 4 sticks it will actually run faster at 24gb?
