Some comments from the previous post inspired me to tune my hardware. My Rig: Ryzen 5900X @ 4.6 Ghz All Core, 1.3 peak V 32 GB RAM @ 3600 Mhz, CL 16, 16-17-16-37 timings, 3600 FCLK SSD with ~ 5000 MB/s read speed Fractal R6 Case 7900 XTX reference with: Min frequency: 2400 MHz Max frequency: 2900 MHz Voltage: 1145 mV VRAM max frequency: 2700 MHz SAM On Power Draw Max Tested on: 3.17.5 Live My graphics settings: Average FPS's : New Babbage in-city: ~55 FPS New Babbage spaceport lift off: ~50 FPS Microtech planet side: ~70 FPS Space: ~100 FPS Orison in-city: ~ 40 FPS Orison spaceport lift off: ~60 FPS Daymar space: ~90 FPS Daymar planet side: ~80 FPS Yela dense asteroid field: ~80 FPS Yela dense asteroid field with combat: ~60 FPS Yela clear space: ~100 FPS Temperature & sound: 7900 XTX avg temp @ 75 celsius, Junc temp @ 100 celsius Silent enough, and I'm sound sensitive Conclusion: I have seen no performance downgrade from transitioning with my rig from FHD to UHD My CPU had an average % utilization of <50 %, which means there is much optimizing to be done Star Citizen looks absolutely stunning @ 4k, this upgrade has surprised me I have a Gigabyte M28U monitor - I'm a gamer that enjoys competitive FPS, but I did not expect for it to feel so large, whenever I will buy another monitor I'm certain I will stay below 27 inches, probably 26 (if they ever go there) would be the sweet spot for me.
