Well, it seems to have finally happened. With the advent of the 3.0 PTU this game has finally outgrown the capabilities of my 5-year-old processor. On one hand it’s pretty neat to see how far this game has come, from a hanger module that could (sort of) run on my ancient craptop (may it rest in pieces) to the maps of Arena Comamnder, on to the space surrounding crusader with the iterations of 2.0. My overclocked processor managed to (reasonably) handle them all.... aaaaaand now while attempting to handle 3.0 my computer itself briefly freezes every couple seconds, rendering the game unplayable until I can scrounge up the cash for new parts. Does anyone have any recommendations for a cost-effective Processor/Motheboard combo?
