Right now if you have an intel 12 series chip, Star Citizen performance will be severely limited with the E Cores enabled. You basically get nonstop stuttering every half second or so. Star Citizen for some reason does not differentiate between the lower powered lower clocked E Cores (efficiency cores) in the chip and the more higher powered higher clocked P Cores (performance cores). So it just switches the game constantly between P Cores and E cores causing the stuttering behavior. I assume the same thing will happen with the upcoming Intel 13 series chips if this problem isn't addressed. If you disable all the E cores in the bios, performance is fine. This is really bad though as E Cores can be used for background tasks like Discord, streaming software, having 8 million chrome tabs open in the background, etc. So with a 12900k, you are limiting yourself to essentially an 8 core processor with E Cores disabled. Are there any plans for Star Citizen to support Intel 12 and 13 series processors in the near future? It's really bad that the game doesn't support these chips already as they are only going to become more ubiquitous in the community in the coming months.
