Well, there we go. As the title suggests I got an old PC that I built in 2012 and could handle somewhat Star Citizen but since 3.x.x I was left out in the cold. I was wondering if I upgrade my ram to 16 gb and get an SSD for SC, would there be any hope to run it? I don't expect it to run butter smooth of course, given the state of the game and also my dinosaur of a computer, I am no lunatic :stuck_out_tongue: but I was curious if anyone has managed to play on a 8350 And yes, I know there is the Ryzen option out there and I could go for a mobo, cpu, ram combo but the budget is thin right now. PC specs as follows: FX8350 @4.5Ghz Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 Corsair Vengeance 4 gb X 2 @ 1600mhz Sapphire 7970 3gb Intel 330 - 120 gb SSD (for OS) and HDDs Playing at a 2560x1080 resolution (just some LG ultrawide screen) Any feedback would be welcome.
