Hi guys, I've been a Star Citizen backer since shortly after its kickstarter years ago, but I've been stuck with a crappy Mac, that is, until this month. I'm finally replacing my Mac with a desktop PC I'll be building myself. I'm super excited to try out the latest alpha builds, as I haven't had a chance to play SC in about 2 years and I know much has changed! I'd like to future proof myself as much as possible, so I've come up with this as a list of parts. Here are my questions for you: I know there was a time a couple of years ago when SC was CPU bound. Is this still an issue, and do I need a better CPU? Is there anything else I should upgrade or change? What's my likely bottleneck/weakest component? Will this be a good enough build to run VR when support for that comes out? I know VR is more resource intensive than a regular 1080p screen. CPU: Intel - Core i5-9600K 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor Motherboard: Gigabyte - Z390 M GAMING Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16 GB (1 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory Storage: Samsung - 970 Evo 1 TB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive Video Card: MSI - GeForce RTX 2070 8 GB Video Card Thanks guys!
