Hey folks, My brother has asked me to put a new PC build together for him and I'd like a couple of recommendations. This PC will have to last a few years and while I can't get him to give me a solid number for a budget, let's assume on the high end of things (without going crazy). Just to be clear this will be a gaming machine, but not used for Star Citizen. He already has a ultra-wide monitor and will be pushing 3440 x 1440. I'd like to run everything stock (or close to it), so not interested in de-lidding or over-clocking (maybe a mild over clock), because my brother is not very computer savy and it's better not to complicate things. Any and all suggestions are welcome. I'm leaning toward an 8700 as for the CPU, but would like reasons to use or not use that particular CPU. I know I can count on you guys for some good advice, as always. Thanks in advance.
