As the title of the post suggests, It's time to upgrade my PC. While not exactly old, my 7700k is getting a few years under it's belt. She's been a solid performer until now, but I feel like it's time for some of that new muscle under the hood. I've been a long time Intel user but, the current series of RYZEN chips have me intrigued. While I know that Intel, in terms of general gaming only, are the superior chips for most games today. I seems that RYZEN has been basically mopping the floor with the current intel lineup in most other respects. While I do play lots of other games, Star Citizen is the only mainstay that I plan to keep playing for the foreseeable future. I've seen some people saying that for Star Citizen in particular, RYZEN tends to be the better performer. In light of this, for the first time ever I am considering building an AMD machine. I would really appreciate any feedback from any citizen who has played on both sides of the fence and can give me some honest feedback to help me make my choice. I really would like to make an informed decision when I do build my new Star Citizen PC. o7 Citizens. Thanks in advance for anyone that helps out. EDIT please try to refrain from the automatic "wait until release" comments. I'm aware there will be better hardware in the future for Star Citizen when it releases. I'm building a PC now. Thanks :slightly_smiling_face:
