I got cash in hand to build a new PC. I am looking at intel 9900k and 9900x. Reviews and feedback don't really indicate 100% if the 9900x is the way to go. Some things I've read say the 9900x series is for high end systems but reviews basically put it dead even or showing it having a small boost as low as 1-3%. I am looking for other peoples opinions between the two, is it worth the extra cash going down the 9900x series path? I try to future proof my computer builds for about 3 years where I can play games at max settings and still get high FPS. So I do opt for what I can if I can justify the gains but I need evidence to suggest the 9900x has a large margin of performance over the 9900k. Insight on the 9900x is it future proofing or is the gain so small, not noticeable now, not noticeable especially 1-3 years later.
