So, I'm on a pretty old setup which do pretty well at the time but since I tend to hit the limits of the hardware (OC inside), I'm looking to upgrade/build a computer next year. I know it's pretty soon ,but some thoughts might help to decide. Current build : i5 4670k @4.4 at 1.2V(can push it up to 4.9 at 1.46V, 5Ghz won't boot due to MB power phases, but it's a little too much voltage in my opinion for a 4 to 12/24h use) AIO cooler master 240L RGB (I don't care about RGB...) Asrock Z87 e-itx 2 x 8gb DDR3 2400 CL9-9-9-27 (if I remember correctly) Fractal design Focus G 750W SFX Revolution PSU from Enermax 1x 256Gb MX500 SSD (SATA3) 1x 960Gb PNY SSD (SATA3) 1x 1Tb WD green (sata3) Zotac 1080Ti mini (currently at stock, but can push it farther, and plan to pass it under water if I keep it for the next build inside a full or dual custom loop) BDWR (for blue-ray films obviously) I'm running around 30 to 60fps depending of the location in SC (around 45 to 70FPS on the other games I play like Pantropy, civ5 and civ6, DOS, Ark...) So, what would you recomend? A full new build or a CPU/MB/RAM upgrade only, with probably a M2 SSD and putting another GPU on the ancient one since I have some cases laying around? And BTW, which Hotas would you reccomend since I'm on keyboard/mouse at the moment?
