Hello, A while ago my GPU killed itself so I have had to use a very old backup an just cross my fingers that 3.0 isnt released until xmas when I can get a new RX 580 (8GB). However, I also only have 8GB of system memory and I know that the bare minimum. I would like to upgrade to 16GB but my mobo only takes ddr3. If I wanted to go DDR4 I would have to get a new mobo, CPU and ram so looking at about £450 which I cant afford next year. I can get 16GB of DDR3 for about £100 but I'm not sure if that's just going to be wasted money. Would the extra RAM keep me going for a year, would I notice an improvement in SC? (My CPU is a AMD Phenom II 955 quadcore 3.2Ghz)
