4X8GB or 2x16GB Ram? I'm doing a new build with a z370 board and i7 8700k and ram is one of the last things I need. I'm getting conflicting information where some people say 4x8 ram in dual channel puts more stress on the memory controller and will make your ram slower when overclocking it. Some say it make no difference. Or that 8gm sticks are faster than 16 GB sticks and vice versa. I don't need to worry about adding ram down the road, and was wanting 4x8 for aesthetic reasons. Will I notice any difference in performance with 4x8 on a z370 dual channel board when overclocking the ram or will both sets perform exactly the same?
