So I played SC up till now with an X52 Hotas and a Pro Flight rudder, but I think the stick has taken a hit from the armrest of my chair and now my ship continues to spin to the left and down even when the X52 stick is correctly centered etc. Still got a working throttle and a rudder. The rudder I'm deffo gonna keep using but I'm in a serious dubio about what I'm gonna do with the replacement of the stick or the whole hotas. First,, I could just replace the stick with a perfect price/quality T16000m FCS. Read and saw a bunch of reviews, saying it's the best bang for buck and some people even prefered it to the Saitek(/logitek) sticks. Easy and cheap solution, were it no that the X52 stick has more hats, buttons and the double trigger action going on. and most of that functionality is placed on the T16000m FCS throttle. Setting me back: 55euro Second, we got the option to buy the T16000m hotas setup (not the full package including the rudder. I got and like the saitek rudders). The extra rudder peddles and the playstation dualshock style stick on the throttle can make all the difference, could substitute for the 6dof dual sticks setup handle well and are liked by lots of reviewers. And the sliding throttle instead of a traditional rotating throttle got my interest too. Plus I'm used to a Hotas setup. Setting me back: 116 euro Then we got the dual stick setup. I am a hotas man and I hear from bad new baron and others that they were too, until they tried dual stick setups. I feel it is a feeling you can only grasp until you experienced such a setup. I understand SC and the Thrustmaster software support the setup for the game and you got quite nice throttles on the T16000m fcs sticks (and a lot of buttons, though akwardly placed) and above all, the control over your ship rules over hotas. Setting me back 110 euro I could go for option one as it at least makes me play SC again (as I won't fly with mouse and keyboard. It's just wrong.....). It would let me change to dual stick setup quite cheaply. But if I wanted a Hotas setup after all lateron, with the better button(layout)s, I will need to buy the throttle WITH stick. I am confident in the T16000M FCS series products, but I can't try out the hotas nor the dual stick setups, so in my undeciciveness and newby spacesimming, I come to you guys and hope you can persuade/enlighten me and help me pick the "right"answer :blush:
