I just setup my dual VKB Gunfighter Mk. II Kosmosima SCG Premium tabletop sticks. I'm still waiting on my Monstertech black mounts. : ( Here is my setup for now with some minor testing in Arena Commander, but curious what others are using. Right Hand stick - Flight - Factory default cams (smooth #10 w/no center detent) on both X & Y - Factory default springs (single #20) on both X & Y - Loosened both X & Y clutch dampers to the max - I wanted smooth control for aiming with no detent. Especially coming from dual TM 16000M. Everything is super smooth with just a tiny bit of tension. However the stick barely centers. So far it hasn't been an issue. I may change the springs to #30, but the #20's are working fine for now. Left Hand Stick - Throttle - Changed both cams to #30 w/center detent - Changed the spring on the X-Axis to #30 for more tension, but left the factory default #20 spring on the Y-Axis - Loosened both X & Y clutch dampers to the max - My reason for this setup was I felt using a stick for throttle the detent is a must. I left the softer #20 spring for X-Axis throttle to help with arm fatigue, but wanted more tension on the strafe left/right so I can tell when off center. The old TM T16000 had a bad habit of drifting slightly off center when full throttle with no way to detect. This would constantly throw me out of afterburn/boost. With this new VKB setup I no longer have this issue and can easily tell when off center. Plus less fatigue on my arm for throttle forward/reverse. EDIT: I also swapped out the thumb hat C1 switch to the standard push button (only on the left stick). I use it for look behind and like the single push button for quick press. Anyone running dual VKB I'd love to here your cam and spring setups to compare and your reasons for doing so. Please post a reply and let me know. On a side note, I chose the VKB Kosmosima Premiums over the Virpil Delta's due to the additional buttons, triggers (on the premium grip), and grip size with adjustable hand rest. The Virpil Delta's seemed to rely on strictly hat switches and was also worried about the thumb reach for the top hats. UPDATE 4/4/19: I enabled / tightened the dry clutch on the right stick. I'd say roughly about 1/4 to where both black plastic pieces are aligned with the circuit board. So far I like it. The added friction allows for smoother and more precise movements with less oscillation around the center. The only downside is that it's a little harder to find dead center, but I refuse to put center detent cams on my right stick as I want to maintain that smooth movement across. I am debating putting #10 springs on the left (throttle) Y-axis only and tightening down the clutch (Y-axis only) for a true throttle feel. UPDATE #2 4/4/19: I completely loosened the dry clutch back the way I originally had it. For some reason the slight added friction made aiming around the center worse for me. In theory it should've made it better. Perhaps the friction eliminated some smoothness?
