Been working on my dual stick mods last couple weeks and got them both finished. Loving them. I did these since I was growing very tired on my x52 HOTAS. Wasnt smooth with the centering spring, I really hated that spring. With the current options of dual sticks out there I wasnt too happy with what is available, well the VKB's are nice but not easy to get and pricey. So searching ebay I come across a CH Combatstick and Throttle(non pro) and then another combatstick, got em both $45 shipped. They were gameport versions only reason they were cheap. I also bought 3 Pro Micro boards for $16. Everything else I needed I already had. Right stick I took the 2 way from the throttle and put it as the thumb button. Reversed the lower 4 way hat and the lower grey button. Then added 3 long shaft Tactile switches. Working great. Now for my lefty version that was a lot more work. I dremeled off the thumb tunnel and cut out the other side to fit the tunnel, lots of epoxy putty and quick steel on both sides of grip. Removed 4 way hat from top and put it at thumb. Changed the red side button to other side of stick and added a 2nd. Also added a small tact switch in between the upper buttons and hat,I wanted it for my TrackIR centering. Also added a rotary to the side of grip. Figured I could use it for a couple different things I had in mind. Then added 12 buttons to base. They both are working great and so much better than the x52 I was using and accurate. Dont worry about the white writing on base, its temporary until I label it properly,my memory isnt that great these days. They are still dirty, still need to clean up.
