Ever since 3.0 came out I haven't been able to run SC. I know that I am below the min specs. I have a gtx 660ti with 2gb, I have 8gb ddr3 RAM and a 3570k cpu. The major limiting factor it seems to me is my 8gb RAM. Buying a new PC or building a new PC is not possible. I've researched all kinds of stuff online like ready boost, and other stuff to increase the shared VRAM Currently I think only 4gb is shared. What would be the cheapest way to get my PC up to being able to run SC on minimum settings? Do I have to go buy more RAM? I don't want to go buy another 8gb RAM if that isn't going to make a difference. Any ideas/Suggestions? I know I don't have bleeding edge hardware, buy in my opinion the stuff I have still seems decent although in a few years I do plan to upgrade to a PC that has 16+ gb RAM, A gtx1080ti or better, and a newer cpu. Until then... I'm looking for a cheap bandaid solution.
