So I am on a limited budget and would like to upgrade my GPU and monitor, however due to my financial situation there will be a significant time between those (6-12 months). I am deciding on which to upgrade first. While SC is a main consideration I also still play other intensive games (holding off playing Witcher 3 for example, till I can get a great experience). So my current build contains: Ryzen 7 1700 X370 Asrock Taichi 16 GB of 3200mhz GSKILL Flare-X RAM R9 280X Gigabyte Windforce Rev 2.0 Samsung 850 Evo 250GB (OS) Crucial MX300 525GB (Games) Western Digital Green 3TB (Media) Superflower Leadex+ Gold 1000W All housed in a Define R5. However, I am using a 32" Sony Bravia TV(1080p/60hz), which is about 8-9 years old. For I think obvious reasons I'm looking at monitors and graphic cards. For monitors I'd be looking at a 1440p/75hz Freesync screen, as I'm not much into competitive multi-player shooters and love a good single player experience. In the GPU department I'd be looking at a VEGA56 level of card to power that, I think. Which should I upgrade first? Now I have some parts of my old system, I'm considering selling these to reduce the time needed till I can upgrade, or adding some additional parts to turn this into a second machine. These parts are: Intel I7-2600 (non-k) Asrock H61DE/S3 NanyaDDR3 8GB 1333 mhz Could try to sell or add (cheap PSU, 80+ Bronze, cheap case+storage+280X when I upgrade). Sell or build backup/rig for friends/use it as server? Any opinions are appreciated. In regards to selling things I'm in the EU(Netherlands), this may effect pricing or or values.
