Hey guys, I'm gonna have the oppertunity within the next week to finally move away from my GTX 750ti to a more modern video card. Here is my dilema though, I can get a slightly used GTX 980 (non-ti) from a friend for $100 even.. By slightly used I mean it was in his back up system which was barely ever powered on. OR I can bite the bullet and get a GTX 1060 6gb for about $200-ish from one of the computer stores here in Los Angeles. The 1060 has 6gb of vram, and the 980 only has 4gb of vram, but I was told the 980 kicks the 1060's ass in terms of performance. However Im not sure which would be the better card for this game in particular. Rest of my system is: i7 7700 32gb DDR4 2400 Dual 840 Evo 1tb drives OS / other games NVMe 970 Evo (where SC is installed) Side note: This isnt the first Chris Roberts game I've ever upgraded a computer for. The original Wing Commander is how I got my first 256 color card.
