Hi everyone! As a relatively new SC player, I'm having a dickens of a time getting my head-tracking and cockpit experience properly dialed in. I'm having some issues that are confusing to me and I'm hoping someone here has solved these. I'm a hard-core Elite player and I have a simpit style setup running with head-tracking in that game and it just kind of worked flawlessly out of the box. But when I activated the system the first time running SC 3.0 I found that it was instantly unusable in FPS mode. The HUD quickly becomes dislodged and kinda just goes bye-bye in XYZ space, lol. I temporarily solved that problem by simply deactivating the IR camera while in FPS, but if anyone has figured out how to get Tracking to play nice while in FPS it would be great to have! So thanks in advance for any info there! Second up is the cockpit experience. Head-tracking actually works pretty much as expected in the cockpit, but my FOV is very shallow and my face is almost pressed up against the glass of the canopy, I can barely see the tops of the avionics panels and the combined helmet / ship HUD becomes mis-aligned pretty quickly and makes the experience unplayable. I've got my FOV pushed as far out as the settings will allow and I've attempted to re-calibrate my head position several times to see how far back I could manipulate the system to move my head back in Z space. Despite all of this it was a no-go and my head-position in the cockpit remains too far forward and the entire experience is kinda no-go. Which really bums me out because I want to jump in to 3.0 very badly with my Track-IR, HOTAS and all my other goodies! Tips, tricks and advice greatly appreciated! Cheers Citizens! -E
