I haven't seen this anywhere, so thought I'd mention this. I updated to nvidia geforce driver 461.40 today (I don't remember the old version, but I'm sure I was only one version behind as I update often). Performance for me in SC has nearly doubled from before the update. I've tried this on two systems with different nvidia cards and saw similar results. To my knowledge, there have been no other changes since yesterday. I play on LIVE, not PTU. My main system has a GTX 970, an Intel Core i7-6700K, 64 GB memory, and an SSD. Until yesterday I was typically getting around 20-35 fps. Now I'm getting about 45-60! Not bad in SC for this ~6 year old gaming rig... I also tried with a laptop, a Lenovo Yoga 730. It has a GTX 1050, an Intel Core i7-8660U, 16 GB memory, and an SSD. I was getting about 10 fps and now get around 20. Still not great there, but it is a laptop. It was just a test and it is a noticeable improvement. I hope this helps people get better performance!
