Hi, my current base hardware of my config is: i5 3570k @4,1 non-delided, 16GB low Voltage 1600Mhz DDR3, "Asus Strixx GTX 980ti OC" and a low input lag samsung 4k tv. I'm considering maybe getting a 1080ti for obvious reasons. But the i5 is also showing it's limits and could be a big drag on the 1080ti. Ideally i would pair the 1080ti with a i7 8700k but that path is not really affordable. A more modest upgrade to the Intel i7 3770k would be a lot cheaper but i wonder if it would actually improve performance much considering all it adds is hyper-threading which is not usually of much / any use in games. How does star citizen respond to hyper-threading?
