Hi, I'm having a problem with some of my hardware. Last week, my computer kept restarting during gaming. I thought it was overheating so I cleared all the dust out. It seemed okay for a while. Yesterday, it turned off and it wouldnt turn on again, at least properly. The bios logo came up, but after that the screen lost connection to my computer. It was only after I completely took out my gfx card and plugged the monitor directly to onboard that the problem resolved. Any attempt to start the computer with the gfx card inside resulted in the screen losing connection, even with the monitor not plugged into the card. :weary: The fans turn on on my gfx card, and it lights up while in my system. There's no dust and heat readings were normal for it afaik. If i plug my gfx card in after startup, the computer won't lose connection, but it also wont detect the card or anything. Sometimes it will turn on with my gfx in, but very rarely and only for a few seconds in 800x600, and even shorter if i put it into 1080 (even with the card plugged in and working for those few seconds, my computer does not recognize it or list it as a device) :disappointed_relieved: I'm not sure if the gfx card is the problem, or the PSU is shutting it off from drawing too much power or if mobo is failing. I dont have another pc to test it with. There was no artifacting or any visual problems, the computer only shut off randomly. I have 980ti 6gb 750w thermaltake PSU 6600k @3.8 Z- 170 gaming 3 mb any help would be appreciated, thanks. I can afford only one new part and not sure which to replace. Thanks!
