Dear Citizens, In light of the recent discovery of the Meltdown and Spectre exploits Windows/Linux/OSX have prepared patches to prevent the Meltdown exploit from being used against Intel processors. The patch for Windows 10 was released last night and unfortunately I have already updated and the benchmarking process would be quite a pain for me to go through with at this point. If any of you would kindly run some in game benchmarking (frame rates/memory use/processing usage) both before and after updating it would be quite informative. What we do know is that system call heavy processes are affected by this patch and some benchmarks have shown up to 30% processing power loss due to the patch. Most games seem unaffected by the patch but some information on the affect this will have on Star Citizen would be greatly appreciated. For more information on the exploits you can read the white papers at: https://spectreattack.com/ EDIT** - Note that the patch for Windows 10 is available simply through Windows Updates at this time Thanks to any and all Citizens who can/will help. -Devlove
