Hi everyone I am currently in the process of getting my second Warthog Joystick 3D Laser Scanned so that I can create a left handed version. For those of you who are actually left handed and can't use a Warthog then this would possible help you For those of you who use, or would like, a dual stick setup then this would also allow you to use the Warthog Here is where I'm at so far I already have a quote that I am happy with I need to send the stripped joystick parts for scanning which I will be doing later this week, at a considerable personal cost I may add. Once this is done I will need to select the material I want the new parts to be printed with. When I have the newly printed parts I will need to reassemble the joystick. I will not be making the resulting 3D files public for a while as I am hoping to make back some of the money that I am investing. I will leave a set of the files with the fabricator and make the company details available so that you can contact them directly and get your own set printed. You will have to get the pieces painted yourselves, the afore mentioned fabricator could do this but you would have make those arrangements with them Once you have recieved your new parts you will then need to disassemble and reassemble your stick I cannot stress enough the need for caution when dismantling and rebuilding your stick as you could easily turn it into a very expensive paper weight This is the painful process of stripping the joystick After removing all the screws and the top cap you can safely split the two casings. The right half comes away from the left half, as you look at it as if you were using it. Now you will see the wiring and buttons, this is the top half, the bottom half and a shot from the top Remove the part that screws to the base by removing the single screw and disconnecting the main wiring connector from the circuit board. All of the buttons are held in by two small tabs, one on either side. They both need to be pushed in to release the button to the outside of the casing. You can do the tabs one at a time. Some of the button are held in with hot glue so be careful not to snap any of the wires when prying them loose.
