After watching Noobifier (i think that's right) and his series of dual stick vids, I decided to spend more money and get the Warthog stick and the T160000M stick. I've been using the Saitek X-56 Rhino, which is great, but I really like the Warthog's quality and performance. I also bought Thrustmaster's pedals. Yes, they arent the best, but for me they will be fine. I've owned better ones, but these will be fine. So, while waiting for the new stuff to arrive, I tested out the dual stick setup using my X-56 stick and a logitech Extreme pro. It was awkward a bit, but the setup is great. I use the left stick for strafe forward/back and left/right strafe. The throttle works independently and acts like a cruise control. The Z axis is for strafing up and down. Beautiful. now I can hover, take off/land and translate left and right as smooth as can be. The Pedals will be for Yaw and the right stick will be like a plane with pitch and roll. I am so converted to the dual stick setup. My dogfighting is much better. Since I plan to be hauling cargo and trading, among other things, the ability to control larger ships in small spaces can be facilitated. If you are curious and are using HOSTAs, use the existing stick and pick up a T160000M. A newer version is out and is colored black and orange. I really believe it is worth the change. I also saw a great, less expensive setup using the Thrustmaster T160000M, $59 - 64 on average plus taxes and shipping, and the logitech extreme 3D Pro. about $35.00. Good luck all.
