nVidia has said they're reducing the efficiency of cryptomining with their new cards by 50%. I have a couple of questions: 1. How exactly do they accomplish this? Is it in the driver only, or a change in the hardware? 2. Could they make a GPU that's just as powerful, but wouldn't function at all as a mining device? If so, would they?
