oh man. what a difference. I was using an old 1155 socket coolermaster heatsink and fans on an 11700k. ive seen 97 c when visiting Microtech. verified it wasnt a bad thermal paste application too. after the AIO I can visit microtech and maybe hit 57 c. what a huge difference! light modding was required. this is one of those military green Corsair C70 cases from 2012. had to remove the 5.25 bays and move the SSDS to the back of the case. I would have preferred a blower style cooling on the video card but I had to take what I could get and snagged this aorus a few months ago. One of the 140 mm fans on the radiator was DOA so I am going to go ahead and get a set of noctua to replace the dead one and the working one. oh and i used mnpctech to replace the acrylic with fan grills to a solid window. fun times. one day i will do a color theme and get some better cable management or whatever ( i was never really into RGB but i like some of the clean looks the new cases achieve with wireshrouds and such. ) but for now i just needed to tame that 11700k.
