I've seen it pretty often between what people are saying across the internet on star citizen and other games, "Disable your E-Cores". Well in fact, you don't need to, and you don't really need to touch anything on your bios at all aside from maybe adjusting your fan curve to get better cooling based on your environment. 10/10, my favorite feature so far in 3.17.2 is game performance. ☆ Loreville: 60fps+ ☆ Orison: 45-65fps (60 Average, but dips to low very rare cases) ☆ Everus Harbor: 90fps+ ☆ Hur L#: 90fps+ ☆ Port Oli: 85fps+ ☆ Area 18: 70fps+ ☆ Fully Crewed Hammerhead + several other ships vs Idris + other fighters via Extreme Combat Beacons: 90fps+ Edit: I've noticed performance can be directly impacted by the servers latency and tick rate, therefore you may experience lower or higher performance. ▬ Specs ▬ Resolution: 1440p HDR 60hz 12900k (no bios alterations) 3070ti 32gb ddr5 5400 M.2 nvme Win11 ───────────────────────────────────────────────── -☆VOLTAIK's Optimization Settings☆- (Windows 11) ▬ RSI Launcher Shortcut Target Modification (Affinity Masking)▬ ▪ This is aimed at Intel 12th Gen ▪ ꜣ An affinity mask is a bit mask indicating what processor(s) a thread or process should be run on by the scheduler of an operating system. ꜣ Google "Star Citizen Affinity" to find more information across spectrum. ꜣ Im using the 12900k, so I replaced the target field in the RSI Launcher Shortcut to ►%ComSpec% /C Start "RSI Launcher" /High /Affinity 00FF "C:\RSI\RSI Launcher.exe"◄. (copy between arrows) ꜣ Where it says (C:\RSI\RSI Launcher.exe), replaced it with your directory of rsi launcher.exe. Edit: As of August 2022, I had stopped doing an Affinity Mask when I did a full fresh reinstall of Windows 11 and updated my Bios to its latest release. I have had zero stutters or issues playing Star Citizen while streaming on YouTube or Discord, tested doing 5-6 hour streams. ───────────────────────────────────────────────── ▬ Windows settings modifications ▬ ꜣ Settings → Navigation → Gaming → Game Mode → Graphics → Add An App → Add Star Citizen → Star Citizen → ChangeGraphic Performance to High Performance Mode ꜣ Settings → Navigation → Display → Graphics → Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling → On ───────────────────────────────────────────────── ▬ Nvidia Control Panel ▬ ꜣ Low Latency Mode: Ultra ꜣ Power Management Mode: Prefer Max Performance ꜣ Threaded Optimization: On ꜣ Vertical Sync: Fast ꜣ Shader Cache Size: 10 GB ───────────────────────────────────────────────── ▬ In-game Settings ▬ ꜣ Quality: Very High ꜣ Scattered Object Distance: High ꜣ Terrain Tessellation Distance: High ꜣ Planet Volumetric Clouds: High ꜣ FOV: 85 ꜣ Motion Blur: Off ꜣ VSYNC: Off ꜣ Sharpening: 0 ꜣ Chromatic: 0 ꜣ Film Grain: 0 ꜣ QR Code: off ───────────────────────────────────────────────── ▬ BIOS ▬ ▪ No changes were made toward the bios. E-Cores are not Disabled, Did not interact with the bios menu. ▪ Edit: I have changed my fan curve to increase airflow efficiency, this could help if your cpu is throttling due to high temperatures. Edit: recently updated my bios as of August 2022.
