After 9 years the old girl gave up the ghost awhile back. It was tired, DDR3 RAM, outdated Intel socket....time to move on. I can scavenge the GPU, case, drives, etc. Power isn't an issue (my old psu is 1500w platinum and still putting out like a champ). I've been eyeballing a Ryzen 7 5800X/mobo combo. I read a few reviews online and in here over the years. I'm not in a big rush. I know there are some new Intel stuff about to drop (I suspect difficult to get w/o being scalped). And AMD stuff could drop in price a bit (if the market/supply chain ever were to stabilize). But it's been a couple months now and I got an itch to fly. The smartest thing to do is always to wait, but as I said, not being able to game sucks...
