TLDR: My TrackIR is busted, and I've never really loved it. I can fix it for $40, or buy a Tobii (15% off right now). Opinions needed. I've been using a TrackIR + Track Clip Pro for a couple years now. It's cool, works well, but the clip (to the headset) is already broken (held together by tape right now) and, honestly, I get sick of that damn antler-like Track Clip Pro sticking out of the side of my headset. I'm endlessly bumping it out of position. And no, I'm not going to wear a hat to use the other tracker--I don't want even MORE stuff on my head. All that said... The Tobii is on sale right now, and I'm debating between buying one or just buying a new Track Clip Pro for my current setup and carrying on as usual. The cost of the Tobii really isn't an issue and I've always been intrigued by it (+ its face recognition). Just want to hear people's opinions on one vs. the other.
