Hello, I've been running an old 30" Dell 3014u (2560x1600) from 2014 and just installed a 3080ti, so I'm way overdue for a monitor upgrade. I've never had a gaming monitor. Basically anything above 60hz, and I've never owned or experienced an ultrawide. My PC is only used for: Games Star Citizen (my primary focus) World of Tanks ARK 2 (when it comes out) Production 3ds Max Photoshop After Effects Premiere My System i9-7940x 64GB RAM 3080ti Dual 2TB M.2 Pro Dual Virpil Alpha w/WarBRD Dual VKB Gunfighter Mk.III Space Combat Kosmisima I was looking at the new Alienware OLED 34" AW3423DW, but concerned about giving up vertical resolution (1600 down to 1440). Anyone have this monitor with Star Citizen? Another choice was the Alienware AW3821DW 38" 3840x1600. I like the size and resolution, but with these new OLED's coming out I feel we are at the start of a major tech switch and don't want to buy into old tech. I want this monitor to last for 5+ years. Then we have 4K which is another option. I hear so many great things about Star Citizen in 4K (2160), but giving up the ultrawide which has so many immersive qualities. Plus the ultrawide seems great for Premiere and After Effects timelines. Please share your opinions and experiences below. Any help I can get will be appreciated.
