Hey! I've been wanting to buy a new PC for a while: I really can't stand watching all those SC vids anymore, without being able to play myself :grinning:. Now, i'm a gamer by heart, however, since my son was born, I had to tune it down a little. The only game i'd really like to play is SC, so, with that in mind, i'm building a new PC, that will be able to run it and give me a good experience. Right now, i only have an ASUS ROG with a 965m gpu, which is nowhere near enough. First i was going for the CPU i7-7700K 320€ MB ASUS B250F 125€ RAM TG Nighthawk 16(2x8)GB 3200Mhz 135€ HDD Seagate 1TB(planning to get a 250ssd later) 40€ GPU 1080 550€ Then i've read that SC will switch to vulkan at some point and that multi-core/thread cpus will handle SC better, since proc.generated stuff(and more) is handled by the cpu which made me doubt about the cpu choice. Then i've read about VEGA and the new HBM2....and i made an amd counterpart: CPU Ryzen 1700x 350€ MB ASUS B350-F 113€ GPU Maybe VEGA? will see in aug the rest is the same The PSU, KEYB/MOUSE(750W) i already got Still need cooling for the CPU and a CASE(don't want to spend too much on these 2) I haven't done this in a while, so i would love some input from you guys. I was planning to wait until end of august, and see some gpu price drop cause of the VEGA release
